Atlantic CX4 and MXL Event 4

September 14th, 2011 / 7:13pm

Our final event of the season and got to see the conclusion to both divisions.
The CX4 division had our 10 teams. This event showed again our 4 strong teams in the finals.

These’s teams seem to have been the same reoccurring teams of Charlottetown, Storm, Mount Pearl and Oromocto.
Yet like every other event we seemed to always have Oromocto competing for first place. This time it was with Mount Pearl that came victorious against the New Brunswick team winning a 2-1 match battle. This one event victory though for Mount Pearl wasn’t enough to allow them the points needed through the whole season to get the CX4 first place in the season medals.
Our Winners for the season was Oromocto with a score of 192 (close to a perfect score of 200), followed by Mount Pearl in second place 175 then Storm 168 and Charlottletown 157.

The teams have certainly grown throughout the season. I’m eager to see a lot of the players form RXL teams for the upcoming 2012 season as the CX4 division will be taken down and be made into a RXL division so the younger players can do Xball still paintball yet at a lower caliber of competition.

Our sunday Games we had some close battles. The games to watch for the first place contenders were Torbay vs Troopers and Torbay vs Wreckhouse. The first game of T vs T was a close fought battle with Troopers coming strong out the gate beating the 1st line of the Torbay team. However, like in all games of Xball just because you winning or keeping up in the first half doesn’t mean it will stay constant in the second half. The Troopers seem to have lost steam or simply couldn’t seem to figure out the the ways torbay’s players were getting their shots. As the game progressed it seems like the trooper weren’t making the moves needed. The game ended with 7-5 Torbay.
This victory would hold the first place for Torbay giving them the medals.
The last game of the day have the Newfoundland Battle. Torbay vs Wreckhouse. The grudge of the two teams make for a very quick a brutal game. The second line was played more with the Torbay teams, yet the game was well played by both side. With a few penalties issues on Torbay side. Wreckhouse took the rounds and won the battle of the rock with a score of 9-6.

Atlantic CX4 Event 3

July 28th, 2011 / 8:27am

Another event and we are slowly coming to an end of a fast season! We had some new faces this event as some players have moved up or a few teams have disappeared. However we are still 10 strong in this division with the addition of the Bathurs team and the return of the Knockout team who had a by from Event 2.
The games were great. A cinderella team Peticodiac Predator. Who have finally seem to find their footing of always getting into the finals after the first event of getting last place.

Eager to see what the last event will hold.

Pictures of the winners are below. As well a video of the event.

Also the galleries of cx4 will go online today. However the site is running slow i’m going to be upgrading the website. If the site is fine with you great. If not i do appologize.

Eastern CXBL Event 2

June 12th, 2011 / 9:41pm

I have to say the competition at the CXBL level is certainly rising every year.

And with XBall.com finally condensing the league down to 6 teams this year, it made for closer match games.

Scores of the Day:
Fishstiks – 10-9 – Halifax City United
Daytona – 7-10 – Strict Union
Halifax City United – 10-4 – Sheilds
Strict Union – 13-5 – Kamikaze
Fishstiks – 9-10 – Sheilds
Strict Union – 9-6 – Halifax City United

A team I travel with every year Strict Union was alittle shaky the first game barely beating Daytona. However they certainly came to show they were there for the Gold this year, destroying what was said to be the team to beat this season; Kamikaze. While Kamikaze didn’t have their pro’s that event (cody of Aftermath) it still made quite a mark on the eastern division of how strong Strict Union was.
While some teams were strong with pro’s brought in SU next match up vs Halifax City United was rather an opposite game. Halifax City United relying on pro’s to help out towards the end of the match; yet not able to make the comeback. Very good game of the Atlantic battle.

Below is a video of the HCU vs Sheilds games, After a first lost for Halifax, they had to come back fighting and ended up beating the Sheilds 10-4.

2011 Season begins in Atlantic CX4 Saturday

May 25th, 2011 / 3:29pm

This season will be a great one. A league i used to shoot about 2 years ago and finally getting back on the horse with them again. I have to say this is finally what the atlantic paintball community needed. Truly the best players playing and having a team from every province in Atlantic Canada makes for a great Atlantic division.
Saturday games began with CX4 division starting at 9am. Blow out? probably more than what people were expecting. Alot of “green” paintball teams taking their hobby to the next level and becoming competitive. With a taste of their first tournament they will certainly need to go back to the drawing board and reanalyze their faults and work on them. Yet isn’t that the whole point of the cx4 division? Get a taste of of the adrenaline sport and fine tune yourself? Certainly it is. Eager to see what these’s teams look like at the end of the season.
I would like to congratulate one of mission and eastern paintball supplies shop 1st place winner Oromocto CX4 team. Winning 4 guns.

Chisholm getting the only goal of the STFX vs SMU game!

I know i’m abit late on this post, but after watching the STFX vs UNB game on webcast, i’m excited to see two more W for X here at their home rink. The Double Overtime game last night showed X isn’t giving up without a fight to the 1st place UNB team. With the series 1-1 now, we will see how the next two home games play out.
Theses photos and video are from the SMU vs X game 4 that SMU got the victory over X on. However X may have lost this battle they took the W at game 5 at the forum rink in halifax.

Halifax City Open 2010

September 27th, 2010 / 8:23pm

The gallery of Halifax City Open is Here —> Gallery

Finally returning home after a long day at Halifax City Open 2010 tournament. How do I quantify if it was a success? Could it be by the 26 registered teams?Could it be by the amount of free gear and prize given away? Or simply by the amount of competition that was seen on the field?

I have done this tournament for 2 years, and I have to say after the 3 years it been going on, it only becomes better. Our host Kevin Curry (BigCan as everyone knows him) strives to amaze the maritime paintball community by bringing all the competition together with no politics.

However, let’s just get into the action. The teams in 5man were fierce with the top competitors of Strict Union (CXBL 3rd place in Eastern) competing against the ECU team of  APBL players and the Maniacs team of the AXBL. I want to say competition was tight. But it was more than that. The final game of Maniacs vs. Strict was the decider for first place. Strict Union’s Jeremie Pagé running to get the flag allowed them to steal the points needed to claim the first place victory. domain info . domain owner Really it was only a mire 10-20points different for the first place in 5man.

While the top Atlantic competitors played in the 5man, the real competition was in the 3open and the future player in the 3man rookie division. With both division filled, there was no easy victory here. Just to give a feeling, a rookie that played speedball once, came in with a 2nd place in Rookie.

The 3man open came in like an AK sounding Ego, loud and fast. With competitors destroying each other up-close and personal, or by the 5 second games of getting all bodies off the break.

The best surprise of the day came from Halifax City United (CXBL Eastern team) gave away the last jersey to Will Jones the MVP of the day who played in the Rookie division.

I have to say I will continue to support this great event. It makes every paintballer come and play for the love of the game and not fighting over the small things. Which from day 1 is why I loved to do photos of this sport.

Our Winners:

1st place 5man –

1st place 3man Open –

1st place 3man Rookie –

August 10th, 2010 / 1:11am

This is a trailer I made for an upcoming video I have yet to come up with a title for the mix yet so hence why its called “UNTITLED” lol, the video will consist of 3 practices. 1 last weekend and a 2 day this upcoming weekend ft. south sudan . Halifax City United.

I went with a different feel on this trailer, not your typical paintball trailer music and added a green CC so yes I know the video is green aha.
